Cleft Lip & Palate is the most common congenital abnormality of the face.In Pakistan, more than 9,000 cleft lip & palate patients are born every year.1 out of 10 children born with a cleft dies before his/her first birthday.

In 2003, Seven likeminded persons sat together in Faisalabad to establish a non-profit NGO with the aim to help Cleft Lip & Palate children. CLAPP is a non-Profit Organization committed to serve the poor community all over Pakistan. Our main focus has been to provide free surgeries to patients born with Cleft Lip & Palate throughout Pakistan and more recently we are also doing these free surgeries in Kabul, Afghanistan as well.
Realizing the problems of War damaged country with no facilities for cleft surgeries, we started Cleft Mission to Estiqlal Hospital, Kabul, Afghanistan in April 2013. Since then six Cleft missions have been carried out where 959 Cleft patients were operated and got Speech Therapy Services as well.
